Kendrick Lamar, a friend of Virgil Abloh's (from the Pyrex Vision days and his Super Bowl slot at LV men's), debuted live performances of "N95" and "Savior" from his latest album Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers during the Louis Vuitton men's spring-summer 2023 show as the models once again walked the bright yellow catwalk at the Louvre Palace with stunning silhouettes. He closed with an outro paying tribute to the late Abloh, who was the artistic director for the fashion house before he passed away last year. "Long live Virgil," he said as the song ended, repeating Virgil's name over and over.

The show began with a band and orchestra, then Lamar performed live from his seat front row with songs such as "Rich Spirit" and "Count Me Out," while Naomi Campbell joined in on the music and took videos. Other stars in attendance included Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, J Balvin, Tyga, Joel Edgerton, Victor Cruz and Russell Westbrook. Lamar led the show effortlessly, dressed in one of Vuitton's signature men's suits.

Models dressed in shades of lavender followed, with long coats and tropical patterns. As the show progressed, the color palette changed to warmer, brighter hues with changing textures, such as furry bobs and crocheted details on hats and sleeves. Cargo uniforms changed: pants became a long work skirt, a jumpsuit became a dress made of dyed canvas. Cartoon prints paid homage to a classic childhood trope and were hand-painted on a canvas windbreaker. Also notable were the floral field motifs that nod to French Impressionism.
