Gucci x The North Face
A similar story, values and the desire to discover new horizons became a unifying factor in the creation of this collaboration — both brands have a clear position, both tend to break the rules.
Based on The North Face’s design from the 70s, the label features three The North Face curved lines and the green-red-green Gucci Web, a combination of the two brands' logos.
The #TheNorthFacexGucci campaign was shot in the Alps by Daniel Shea. Those are the shots of a group hiking featuring all the necessary equipment. They wear chunky Goodyear hiking boots with a blended logo on the back and backpacks crafted from ECONYL® fabric, nylon made from recycled materials of the fishing nets, carpets and other recyclable waste.
Dior x Air Jordan
The Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior sneakers were first spotted in Miami at the Dior pre-fall 2020 show late last year. Desired by all the hypebeasts of the world, this model combines the sophistication and the exceptional craftsmanship of the Dior fashion house with the 80s sporty style. It took the team a year and a half to develop them. Kim Jones dubbed the Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior:
In addition to the sneakers, an exclusive Air Dior capsule has been released. It is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Jordan, while its looks were inspired by the casual style of Michael Jordan.
The famous rapper Travis Scott became the face of the collection. He starred in the campaign video for his track Highest In The Room.
Prada x Sotheby’s
Last fall the Prada x Sotheby’s "Tools of Memory" charity online auction took place. All the proceeds are planned to be donated to the new UNESCO’s Campaign "Keeping girls in the picture", as well as to the UNESCO Global Education Coalition, which was created to enable inclusive education for children and young people in times of disruption.
Clothes from the women's and men's Prada Fall/Winter 2020 collections, as well as sculptures by the famous architect Rem Koolhaas, decor items, invitations to the show, plates, photographs, etc. were exhibited as auction lots, decorated in a lookbook.
Marine Serre x A$AP Rocky’s
French brand Marine Serre and creative agency AWGE, representing the famous rapper A$AP Rocky, have teamed up to create a capsule collection. Common views, a complete mutual understanding and a fondness for each other's work became the unifying factors.
The awareness embedded in the DNA of the Marine Serre brand is confirmed by the fact that the collection is made up of 75% recycled materials. This makes every item truly unique.
Leather and denim pieces, down jackets, turtleneck tops, trousers, leggings, bandanas. Some of the items are made in patchwork style. The collection is released in limited quantities.
VALENTINO Garavani X Harry Nuriev
The new interpretation of Valentino Garavani UNIqueFORM shoes that refers to the era of punk was represented by a well-known designer and the founder of Crosby Studios Harry Nuriev. He wore them for the shots of the Italian magazine KALEIDOSCOPE photographed by Sasha Chaika.
To celebrate the launch, there was an exclusive online 3D event hosted by Spazio Maiocchi. Its main focus was the role of private and public interiors at a time when our lives are a hybrid of reality, VR and AR.
Jil Sander x Uniqlo
2009 was the year when the first collaboration of the Japanese mass market UNIQLO and German fashion house Jil Sander was held. Their joint collection was named +J.
10 years later, it was reborn to the delight of many fans. The new collection is a continuation of the 2009-2011 collaboration. It features timeless basic wear, thought out to the smallest detail within the aesthetics, convenience and quality. Elegant, understated and versatile looks are added by clean lines, voluminous silhouettes and sculptural forms.
Sophisticated minimalism that never bores. Everything that the legendary designer and the founder of the eponymous brand Jil Sander loves.
H. Moser & Cie x MB&F
Two well-known Swiss watch manufacturers, combining the experience and the DNA, presented two collaborative watch models. One of them, Endeavor Cylindrical Tourbillon, won the AUDACITY PRIZE 2020 nomination at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève.
The Endeavor Cylindrical Tourbillon demonstrates superior performance and a unique design: a three-dimensional cylindrical tourbillon and an off-center oblique sapphire dial that appears to float in the air.
