With the seventies look, jeans are the fashion trend of all times. Its vintage appearance, suitable for all seasons and associated with any styles, has seduced since its invention in the 1800s. 
Worn by minors, Hollywood icons or rock stars, jeans are the most popular fashion item of the last centuries.

1. Jeans as work clothes

Introduced by Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis, jeans were first presented as the working-class symbol. Denim clothes were worn by slaves in the cotton fields in America.

 
Jean&rsquo;s appearance changed as dust coloured the legs, and holes were created from workers complex missions. We nowadays buy jeans inspired by this period to pay tribute to their work in difficult times.

2. Jeans as a casual wear for cowboys

Western American worn jeans to symbolise independence and the rural class. After World War II, jeans travelled worldwide to expand in Europe, which welcomed these new clothes delightfully. 
At the same time, Marlon Brando, in his movie &ldquo;The Wild One&rdquo;, James Dean in &ldquo;Rebel Without a Cause&rdquo;, among other Hollywoodian famous admired actors, were the icons of rebellion. This new image of the &ldquo;bad guy&rdquo; with this startling costume seduced people who wanted to look like these inspiring actors.

3. Hollywood influencing fashion trends&nbsp;

Hollywood appropriates jeans and presents their movie characters and heroes in these clothes in the fifties. Everyone started to associate themselves with these characters representing a new fashion culture as the fifties were synonyms of moto-bikers, road movies and leather jackets.

This image started to scare American institutions. As establishments in the United States banned jeans in schools, teenagers were even more keen to wear one. This solidarity movement made the jeans a symbol of democratisation, youth and freedom.

4. New movements, same fashion clothes

In the early sixties, flowers and peace signs embroidered jeans as hippies express themselves a lot more. The counter-culture movement appeared first in the US before spreading in the occidental world. This period inspired pop art, music and theatres, and its fashion freed essence is still anchored nowadays.

 
It is then that the jeans became cheaper and more accessible.

5. Jeans in our daily lives

Between the 90s and 2000s, tight jeans are everywhere. Punk and rock stars are wearing legendary outfits: Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, The Beatles, and many others were wearing pair of blue jeans in their video clips or on stage.

&nbsp;

These new tight jeans are the derivative of &ldquo;skinny&rdquo;, &ldquo;slim&rdquo; shapes of feminine pants.

6. Jeans as a symbol of comfort and luxury

It is then that Marilyn Monroe and other famous women actress were representing and embodying a liberating role.

 
Women recognised themselves in these models, and globalisation has arisen from the message we associated with jeans.

 
Women&#39;s emancipation created a massive wave in Europe and allowed to break the codes of macho cowboys and include them as a new symbol in our society.

Jeans now took another turn as global warming is maddening: more brands are created a new collection of organic jeans made with recycled materials. This unique ecological and environmentally friendly revolution is the latest fashion trend of the years.
