Pele celebrates 80 years with historic achievements and surprising career numbers

Pelé completed 80 years of life, glories and several incredible achievements in world football. Consecrated as the greatest player of all time, the King received several important honors for his birthday. FIFA posted a special program of more than half an hour on Edson Arantes do Nascimento, eternal Pelé and a video with testimonials from several international idols.

The ex-footballer, who was born on October 23, 1940 in the city of Três Corações in Minas Gerais, also received a tribute from the Brazilian soccer team that stated in a statement: “Pelé transformed Brazil and changed the history of the sport itself. Not only the Brazilian national team, but soccer would not be the same without Pelé. This is a tribute from the Brazilian national team, to the King of Soccer ".
